All farewells should be sudden, when forever.

Come, let's have one other gaudy night. Call to me. All my sad captains. Fill our bowls once more. Let's mock the midnight bell.

Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.

Every parting gives a foretaste of death; every coming together again a foretaste of the resurrection.

Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

I always made an awkward bow.

Let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we shall die. [Isaiah 22:13]

Never say goodbye, say farewell.

Parting is all we know of heaven and all we need of hell.

Partir, c'est mourir un peu. (To leave is to die a little.)

Until we meet again, may the good Lord take a liking to you.

We only part to meet again.

When I died last, and, Dear, I die as often as from thee I go though it be but an hour ago and lovers hours be full eternity.
